The Miami Heat just missed out on drafting Derrick Rose in 2008 with the No. 2 pick, because the Chicago Bulls took him first overall. Eight years later, it appears the Heat may be in the market for Rose’s services once again.
According to reports from multiple media outlets, the Bulls are looking to trade Rose. Even though he had a relatively healthy year, the management in Chicago seems ready to move on. Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports that the Heat have emerged as one of the primary trade destinations for Rose.
With the team potentially facing a major shakeup in free agency, the Heat are apparently considering the Rose trade as a means of restocking roster talent should the cupboard suddenly become bare.
